River View Cabins & Canoes provides canoe rental and shuttle services on the Ouachita River. Take a two-hour float or an all-day adventure. Shuttles travel both upstream and downstream and provide access to some of the best fishing in Arkansas.

River View Cabins & Canoes provides access to the Ouachita River for Great Arkansas Fishing. Fish right from the bank of the river or rent a canoe and make a day of it. 

Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass along with catfish, crappie, blue gill, stripers, and more are all in abundance in the nearby lakes and river. Turn your catch of the day into a wonderful fish fry for supper in your cabin.

Riverview Cabins & Canoes also provides easy access to the Ouachita National Forest for great Arkansas hunting. While they're in season, hunters can find white tail deer, turkey, bear, and squirrels.

Our location puts you just minutes from two of the greatest mountain biking and hiking trails in the southern United States. The Womble Trail Gaston Mountain Trail Head is 2 miles away and a short drive takes you to the Big Brushy trailhead for access to the Ouachita National Recreation Trail.

There are also countless opportunities for hiking on the many Ouachita National Forest trails. Here you can see the beautiful mountains, forests, flowers, and wildlife of Arkansas.

Just an hour drive from Oden is Hot Springs, Arkansas. This beautiful city is home to Hot Springs National Park. For generations, the park has been known as the “American Spa” of the 20th century and was famous for the healing properties it was believed to possess. 

Today, visitors can still see the nine grand bathhouses erected in the early 1900s. Two of them remain in use, and guests can soak in the waters of the thermal hot springs. 

Just 30 minutes west of River View Cabins, visitors will encounter Mena, Arkansas. It is home to Queen Wilhelmina State Park, Talimena National Scenic Byway, and local shopping and dining. This is a great outing for anyone looking for small-town charm in the midst of Ouachita National Forest.

Mount Ida, Arkansas is known as the Quartz Crystal Capital of the World. Just a 15 minute drive from Oden, Mount Ida is a great place for visiting Lake Ouachita and the Ouachita National Forest. It features opportunities for outdoor recreation, shopping, dining, and attending local festivals.

The crystal mines in Arkansas have some of the best quailty quartz in the nation. Places such as Wegner Quartz Crystal Mines in Mount Ida and Board Camp Crystal Mine in Mena allow guests to dig for their own quartz crystals. 

A variety of other mines are also scattered throughout the Oden area, making mining a great way to enjoy local fun!

This unique artisan cafe and art gallery combines excellent food with one-of-a-kind artwork. Guests can enjoy homemade chips, sandwiches, and more while viewing the works displayed in the gallery. 

The Chopping Block Steakhouse in Mena offers mouthwatering hand-cut steaks, classic sides, and excellent wines and beers in a warm and inviting environment. 

Hot Springs has a variety of restaurants, cafes, eateries, and coffee shops that serve everything from traditional American fare to a variety of global cuisines. Be sure to check them out while you're in the area!

In addition to the two restaurants mentioned above, Mena has a number of casual dining and fast-food restaurants to choose from. Some offer traditional home-cooked favorites while others offer Mexican, Italian, and Chinese cuisines. 

Mount Ida, Arkansas has a selection of restaurants the whole family will enjoy. From casual dining and cafes to pizza places and sandwich shops, there are plenty of options to choose from.
