Canoeing and Kayaking

River View Cabins and Canoes provides Canoe Rental and Shuttle Service on the Ouachita River. Take a two-hour float or an all-day adventure. Shuttles provided upstream and downstream providing access to some of the best fishing in Arkansas. Take in the beauty of the Ouachita National Forest and see the abundant wildlife along the river. Fishing and Hunting

River View Cabins & Canoes provides access to the Ouachita River for Great Arkansas Fishing. Fish right from the bank of the river or rent a canoe and make a day of it. Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass action. Catch Stripers when they run in the spring. Catfish, Crappie, Blue Gill, and more. Bring your catch of the day in and have a wonderful fish fry for supper in the cabin. Riverview Cabins & Canoes also provides easy access to the Ouachita National Forest for Great Arkansas Hunting. White Tail Deer, Turkey, Bear, and Squirrel.

Hiking and Mountain Biking

River View Cabins & Canoes provides access to two of the greatest Hiking and Mountain Biking Trails in the Southern United States. Only 2.1 miles to the Womble Trail Gaston Mountain Trail Head. Just a short drive to the Big Brushy trailhead for access to the Ouachita Trail.

Things to do in Hot Springs

Locate just 49 miles east of River View Cabins Hot Springs National Park has a rich cultural past. It stands as an icon for healing and a tribute to the “American Spa” of the 20th century. The grand architecture of our nine historic bathhouses is equally matched by the natural curiosities that have been drawing people here for hundreds of years. The ancient thermal springs, mountain views, incredible geology, forested hikes, and abundant creeks – all in the middle of town – make Hot Springs National Park a unique and beautiful destination.

Things to do in Mena

Located 30 miles west of River View Cabins Mena, Arkansas is home to picturesque fall colors, outdoor destinations attracting tourists from all over the world, antique shops, and a friendly hometown feeling.

Things to Do in Mt Ida

Located 12 miles southeast of River View Cabins The town of Mount Ida, Arkansas is the home of Lake Ouachita and the Ouachita National Forest. It boasts a thriving community for the arts, family-owned businesses and restaurants, and a variety of outdoor activities. Mount Ida is known as the “Quartz Crystal Capital of the World,” so it should come as no surprise that visitors can find rock shops around and in the town. Lake Ouachita provides abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation, including camping, fishing, sailing, swimming, boating, and more.
